Club MEMBERSHIP Benefits

Affiliations

Ascham Bowmen is registered as an archery club with Archery GB, and affiliated to the Essex and Suffolk County Archery Association (ECAA). Club membership includes affiliation to these national and regional archery bodies and includes insurance. 

As a result, Ascham membership means you are able to shoot in tournaments throughout the UK and as a guest at other clubs where they allow this. 

 

Members

Members can shoot recreationally at every session on offer, all year around, weather permitting and the club offers distance qualifications, can help with shooting specific rounds and entering tournaments. Adult members are encouraged to help with setting up and taking down the range when they have time and are able, with experienced members always present. 

We welcome guests from other clubs including students home from university during vacations. 

 

Coaching

As an Ascham member, you'll continue to benefit from the advice and guidance of our qualified coaches and the knowledge of more experienced archers. Whether you're looking for advice on shooting technique, equipment, or any other aspect of shooting, we can give you what you need to keeping improving.

 

Community

At its core, Ascham is a friendly and welcoming club, with a relaxed, collaborative atmosphere. We take the view that while scores are important, so are tea, biscuits, and a nice chat!

Costs

12 month adult subscription (from September 2025): £172 including Archery GB affiliation fees, club membership and insurance.

Junior members pay reduced rates: please ask for details. 

Guest fee: £5 per week (only available to archers affiliated through another club)
