Ascham Bowmen is delighted to be holding its 43rd Open Shoot. Archers of all levels are invited to our ground in Woodford for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie. Discover more about this exciting event and how you can be a part of it.
About the Open Shoot
Archery at Ascham is thrilled to host its 43rd Open Shoot featuring a Single and Double Warwick round. This exciting event will take place on Sunday, 27th September, at our ground located at South Woodford Cricket Club in Woodford. We welcome archers aged 9 years and up, from all experience levels and other clubs, to join us for what promises to be an enjoyable day of archery.
Compete for medals
There are numerous medals to be won across various age groups and bow styles, including recurve, barebow, and longbow. Please note that neither compound bows nor all-carbon arrows are permitted in this competition. There will also be spot prizes for best gold, worst white and so on. The entry fee for all participants includes light refreshments, ensuring you stay energised throughout the day. It's a fantastic opportunity to test your skills, meet fellow archers, and perhaps take home a medal or prize!
How to enter
To participate in the 43rd Open Shoot, please complete our entry form and email it to aschamshoot2026@gmail.com. Entry to the Single Warwick round is £6 for adults and £4 for under 21s. For the Double Warwick round, the entry fee is £10 for adults and £6 for under 21s. All entry fees include light refreshments. Closing date for entries is Sunday 20 September or when full. Target lists will be sent out a few days before the tournament. We look forward to receiving your entries and seeing you on the day!
